Global Market And Indian ADR's

Thursday in US Mkts: Dow Jones gained 246 points or 3.14% at 8084; up 1% for the week; down 8% YTD. NASDAQ up 62 points or 3.9% at 1653; up 1.9% for the week; up 4.8% YTD. S&P 500 gained 31.5 points or 3.8% at 857; up 1.7% for the week; down 5.2% YTD.
In Asia: China's Shanghai Composite gained 1.86% or 45.39 points at 2,489.61. Japan's Nikkei was down 0.07% or 6.49 points at 8,957.62. Singapore's Straits Times rose 2.29% or 41.82 points at 1,870.33. South Korea's Seoul Composite added 0.39% or 5.25 points at 1,341.29. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 0.56% or 32.18 points at 5,814.14. Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand markets are closed on account of Easter Monday holiday.
Indian ADRs ended higher. In the banking space, ICICI Bk gained at 10.27% at USD 16.75/share and HDFC Bank was up 6.73%, to USD 69.5. In the telecom pack, MTNL closed 3.89% higher at USD 2.94 and Tata Communication went up 2.87%, to USD 24.02. Among the technology stocks, Infosys Technologies closed 2.8% higher at USD 29.72 and Satyam was up 8.16%, to settle at USD 2.65. Patni Computer shut shop at USD 6.6, up 3.12%. However, Wipro ended 0.45% lower at USD 8.85. Among other stocks, Dr Reddys Labs was up 3.09%, to USD 10.68 and Sterlite Indu
