US, Asian Markets & Indian ADR's

Yesterday in US mkts: Dow Jones ended down 186 points at 7790, Nasdaq ended down 45 points at 1561.6 and S&P 500 ended down 20 points at 815.5. US markets have lost 3.2% in last 2 trading session, still up 22% from their March lows

Asian markets open weak on worries of poor earnings. China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.97% or 23.65 points at 2,415.52. Hong Kong's Hang Seng plunged 2.03% or 303.13 points at 14,625.84. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 1.97% or 174.22 points at 8,658.63. Singapore's Straits Times slipped 1.61% or 29.06 points at 1,773.33. South Korea's Seoul Composite declined 1.73% or 22.49 points at 1,277.61. However, Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was up 0.15% or 8.42 points at 5,585.27.

Indian ADRs ended in red on Tuesday. In IT space, Satyam Computers was down 8.93% at $ 2.55, Wipro was down 3.72% at $ 8.03, Infosys was down 0.42% at $ 28.19, while Patni Computers was unchanged. In Telecom space, MTNL was down 6.27% at $ 2.69 and Tata Communication was down 1.34% at $ 22.08. In Banking space, HDFC Bank was down 3.48% at $ 63.73 and ICICI Bank was down 2.15% at $ 14.53. In other sectors, Sterlite Industries was down 3.07% at $ 7.26, Tata Motors was down 2.5% at $ 5.85 and Dr Reddy’s Labs was down 0.6% at $ 9.92.
