Global Market & Indian ADR's

Yesterday in US Markets: Dow Jones ends up 90 points at 7750, slips 115 points (1.5%) from days high of 7863. NASDAQ ends up 12.5 points at 1529, slips 26 points (1.7%) from days high of 1555. S&P 500 ends up 7.5 points at 814, slips 13 points (1.5%) from days high of 827.
Indian ADRs ended higher on Wednesday. In Banking space, HDFC Bank was up 4.65% at $ 62.82 while ICICI Bank was unchanged. In IT space, Infosys was up 2.25% at $ 26.85, Wipro was up 0.54% at $ 7.50, Satyam Computers was up 2.53% at $ 1.62 and Patni Computers was up 4.22% at $ 5.43. In Telecom space, Tata Communication was up 2.54% at $ 21.40 and MTNL was up 0.39% at $ 2.56. In other sectors, Sterlite Industries was up 6.66% at $ 6.73, Dr Reddy’s Labs was up 3.84% at $ 8.65 while Tata Motors, which was the lone loser, was down 6.13%
In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite gained 1.56% or 35.76 points at 2,327.31. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 2.70% or 367.45 points at 13,989.56. Japan's Nikkei was up 0.51% or 43.10 points at 8,523.09. Singapore's Straits Times added 2.22% or 37.50 points at 1,729.18. South Korea's Seoul Composite advanced 0.94% or 11.53 points at 1,240.55. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted rose 1.30% or 69.51 points at 5,415.89.
